      The crazy thing is that the special bacteria that make MudWatt work aren’t special at all. They are found in nearly all soils and sediments on Earth. There are a couple species that are common. They are called Geobacter and Shewanella. They are many others though. In the MudWatt, you (the student) supply your own bacteria (from your own mud).
